Monroe, LA – Child Injured as Car Crashes Into Home on Parkview Dr
Monroe, LA (May 29, 2021) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Mornoe area on Friday evening sent one child to a local hospital with serious injuries. At around 6:40 p.m., on May 28, emergency crews were requested at the scene of an accident on Parkview Drive.
Reports from authorities show that a vehicle was traveling around a curve on Parkview Drive when the driver failed to yield while approaching a curve. As a result, the vehicle went off the road and crashed into a home.
The vehicle struck a 10-year-old boy who was laying in his bed. The child was severely injured in the accident. He was airlifted to Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport for emergency medical treatment. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
