Lafayette, LA (September 10, 2021) – Emergency crews rushed to the scene of a collision in the Lafayette area on Friday afternoon that left at least one person injured. At around 3:25 p.m., on September 10, the Lafayette Police and local firefighters were requested on-site at a crash on East Butcher Switch Road.
Reports from local authorities indicate that a collision between vehicles blocked East Butcher Switch Road in the area of Moss Street during the afternoon hours. The incident caused some disruptions in the area as crews worked to clear the scene.
Medical personnel responded to the accident and rendered aid to victims. An undisclosed number of people were transported to local hospitals for further care. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
