Baton Rouge, LA – Critically Injured Woman Pulled From Burning Home on Slope Oak Ave
Baton Rouge, LA (July 02, 2021) – A fire erupted at a residence in the 12000 block of Slope Oak Avenue on Friday, July 2nd at about 5:00 a.m. First responders responded in time to rescue a woman from the burning home.
A source inside the Central Fire Department said the woman is now hospitalized in critical condition.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze in less than thirty minutes.
While evaluating the scene, officials observed that the fire originated in the home’s kitchen.
Central Fire Department, District Six Fire, and East Side Fire all worked to put out the fire.
The State Fire Marshal and Baton Rouge Fire investigators were also on the scene, indicating that the fire is currently under investigation.
