Rear-End Accidents in Marrero
An estimated 10,000 people lose their lives every year in the United States during serious rear-end or side-sipe accidents, accounting for about 25% of all crash fatalities in an average year. In addition to these deaths, several thousand victims sustain serious injuries during this type of car accident.
When one vehicle tailgates another, any slowing or braking done by the leading car can easily cause the second to crash into its rear-end. The force of the resulting impact could be enough to thrust the first car into the rear-end of the vehicle in front of it, causing serious damage to multiple victims and multiple vehicles.
Simultaneous rear-end collisions, also called chain-reaction accidents, are a style of accident that is common in Louisiana. They are most often caused by tailgating, or one vehicle following too closely to another. Driving laws in Louisiana require drivers to keep a reasonable distance between themselves and other vehicles at all times.
Thankfully, most drivers do their best to be mindful of others. Sadly, they are not guaranteed the same in return. Partially due to this lack of courtesy and good judgment, several thousand accidents take place every day in the United States.
