Shreveport, LA (June 13, 2021) – Authorities were requested at the scene of an accident in the Shreveport area that ended in injuries. Just after 7 p.m., on June 9, the Shreveport police, firefighters, and EMS responded to the scene of an accident on Interstate 220.
Reports from authorities show that a collision between vehicles occurred on the eastbound side of the roadway at the intersection of Airline Drive. The incident caused severe congestion that expanded 3-miles down the highway. Police and firefighters arrived at the scene and went to work on clearing vehicles and debris to restore the flow of traffic. At least one person was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
